HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEWLY DETAILED VEHICLE.
So you just got your vehicle detailed and want to keep it looking its best in between contacting me for service - below are some helpful tips that will keep your vehicle looking its best!
How often you should wash your vehicle depends on your preference, how the vehicle is stored and how often it is driven (i.e. a garage kept, weekend only vehicle may need less attention than a vehicle that is stored outside, under a tree/in the sun all day and driven in 2 hours of traffic daily).
For daily driven vehicles or vehicles stored outside, I suggest washing your vehicle at least once a week or every 10 days.
Remember, no matter how well you maintain your vehicle, every time you drive it or touch it - there are always chances of micro marring, scratches or other defects being imprinted on the paint. With these suggested products and processes given below I try and help keep those possibilities to a minimum.
Proper way to wash your newly detailed vehicle

The wash Process
If you have a foam cannon - use koch chemie green star (diluted properly) to foam vehicle and let dwell for 5-10 mins Do not do this in direct sunlight; This pre wash treatment is ideal for heavily soiled vehicles.
If vehicle was foamed - rinse off foam. If not, simply pre rinse vehicle to get rid of loose/light debris as needed
Fill wash bucket with ~2 gallons of distilled water, place all mitts inside bucket, add ~ 2oz of Ph neutral soap into bucket & create foamy water. If a foam cannon is available, add 1oz of Ph neutral soap to cannon and foam onto vehicle
Wash vehicle from top to bottom, in straight lines, working one panel at a time. After one panel has been washed, flip mitt using a fresh side on each new panel. Once both sides have been used, set aside and grab new mitt from bucket and continue washing using the same process
*Save bottom rockers for last using older towels to clean the bottom of the vehicle. If these towels get very dirty, discard them, if they are lightly soiled, wash and reuse
Rinse vehicle thoroughly (preferably using spot free water)
The drying process
Use drying towel plus koch chemie FSE to gentry dry your vehicle using little to no pressure if possible
If you have a leaf blower or air tool you can use it to blow off out remaining water from grill, mirrors, lights, etc.
If your vehicle has light dust, you can use any waterless wash product of your choice to remove light debris, smudges, bird poop, etc.
If your vehicle is heavily soiled, it is highly recommended to not use a any quick detailer and just wash like normal as soon as possible.
It is recommended to decontaminate your vehicle at least 1-2 times a year (depending on wear and tear, storage and how much the vehicle is driven) to exfoliate your clear coat/protected vehicle bringing back gloss and hydrophobic properties.
Above are only recommendations and guidlines for good maintenance on your newly detailed vehicle. Proper focus and care are needed to maintain a proper looking vehicle. With any type of neglect or improper care when servicing your own vehicle may result in poor results.
